Paint Job hmm What Color…

The car is red and I like red but i want something better looking then just standard Honda red so i’m gonna go for Candy Apple Red. It’s a red thats very deep and distinct looking from other reds and if you add the extra clearcoats it looks really good. Below is a hot rod painted in Candy Apple Red and man does it look good.

New Bumper Or A Complete Body Kit

So looking at the car I know for sure I want to do a brand new paint job to get rid of the dents and dings on the body and of course to cover my new fenders. So if I’m gonna paint the complete car I might as well get a new front bumper to make it look even better. Now depending on where I get it and how much it will cost I might just get a complete body kit to do the front and rear bumpers and both side skirts. Below are the sites that I found that have the style of body kit that I am looking for.

Fender Dry Fitting

I did the fender dry fitting last night and it seems to fit pretty well, now just need to paint it on the backside so i can mount it back on the car and get it ready for the final paint job.

fenders

As you can see it will add a great deal to the body overall look, almost make it look like the car is breathing thru the fenders.

New Wheels And Tires Are Like A Great Pair Of Shoes, They Just Look Good.

Got new wheels end of last week and they made a big difference on how the car looks. And the 15″ Bridgstone Fuzion ZRi 195/50 tires handle really good on dry or wet road.

Next step will be the lowering shocks and the coil overs to drop it 1″

B or D Which Way To Go?

I found writeups on B Series and D Series honda engines on wikipedia and so far i got that B Series are more expensive to build then D Series but besides that it’s still hard to choose, ether the B16A 160HP or the D16Z6 125HP. Now the B16A has more HP but cost might be a problem. Time to do more research.

B Series Honda Engine Writeup

I found this great B Series Honda engine writeup by Honda Tuning Magazine. It goes into detail about how to mod these engines and what parts are great to swap in the B series for most power.

New Parts Are Here!

I got a good deal on some Z1 fiberglass fenders, 4 brand new struts and oem bumper foglights with wire harness and switch a few days ago. I also picked up some White 1 1/2″ gauges that i’m gonna mount into the dash, i got a voltage gauge, water temperature gauge and also a oil pressure gauge. Gotta see where i’m gonna mount these babies cuz i’m also gonna get a pillar pod for the drivers side for my tach, boost gauge and fuel mixture.

Talk About A Wicked Swap Idea

Found a post on a forum about an engine swap on a 1978 Civic CVCC. It’s getting a B16A1 engine from a 87-89 Integra
