The car is red and I like red but i want something better looking then just standard Honda red so i'm gonna go for Candy Apple Red. It's a red thats very deep and distinct looking from other reds and if you add the extra clearcoats it looks really good. Below is a hot rod painted in Candy Apple Red and man does it look good.

New Bumper Or A Complete Body Kit
Posted On 26 Apr 2007 By Bart Piotrowski. Under: Body and Paint.
So looking at the car I know for sure I want to do a brand new paint job to get rid of the dents and dings on the body and of course to cover my new fenders. So if I'm gonna paint the complete car I might as well get a new front bumper to make it look even better. Now depending on where I get it and how much it will cost I might just get a complete body kit to do the front and rear bumpers and both side skirts. Below are the sites that I found that have the style of body kit that I am looking for.

Fender Dry Fitting
Posted On 26 Apr 2007 By Bart Piotrowski. Under: Body and Paint.
I did the fender dry fitting last night and it seems to fit pretty well, now just need to paint it on the backside so i can mount it back on the car and get it ready for the final paint job.
As you can see it will add a great deal to the body overall look, almost make it look like the car is breathing thru the fenders. ... Read More

B or D Which Way To Go?
Posted On 11 Apr 2007 By Bart Piotrowski. Under: 1993 Honda Civic Project, B Series Engine, D Series Engine, Engine Swaps, Maintenance and Do It Yourself.
I found writeups on B Series and D Series honda engines on wikipedia and so far i got that B Series are more expensive to build then D Series but besides that it's still hard to choose, ether the B16A 160HP or the D16Z6 125HP. Now the B16A has more HP but cost might be a problem. Time to do more research. ... Read More

Starting Point

On March 18, 2007 I purchased a Red 1993 Honda Civic DX, it was well maintained and looked good for the price that I paid. It had a dented front drivers side fender and some minor body dents but engine was in great running condition. She looks pretty plain jane now but give her a few months she will look great.
This Blog is about how I mod and customize my 1993 Honda Civic.
