man help me please!! my civic is 93 d16z6 my check engine light is on i checked code its o2 sensor heater, i went through thre different o2 sensors i pulled the back up fuse it clears code for 1 minute them comes back on for same thing… my second question is my car is running super rick went through two sets of plugs today, i have after market fuel rail and regulater when i adjust regulater to have less fuel it rev’s higher than what it does all reddy at idle which is 2000 RPM i replace iacv …….. I DONT WANT TO ADMITT BUT I NEED HELP
Don’t touch the fuel pressure regulator! The reason it revs high is because your leaning it out too much. You should have like 30psi at idle and about 40-45psi at full throttle. Check the wiring on your O2 sensor to make sure it’s not rusted. Did you replace the O2 sensor or just clean it? You might have to replace it. There should only be 1 on the header that’s it. The reason its running rich is cause the O2 sensor is giving your ECU a wrong reading so the ECU is telling the injectors to dump more fuel into the cylinders. Fix the O2 sensor first that will solve your rich problem.
