Wow what a weekend, I created the jig to force out the rusted bolt out of the rear lower suspension arm but no success. So I said enough and cut that arm off with a grinder and picked up a used one from a wrecker for a decent price. I got all new bolts and while assembling the rear suspension back up I made sure I greased the bolts up really well. I finished of the rear and adjusted the front again and by that time it was end of the day already.
Here is a picture of it lowered, it’s definately lower but not too crazy. So far driving it for 4 days now it handles so much better on corners, way less body roll but it is definately a stiffer ride so gotta watch out for those big pot holes.

My sister-in-law bought a 93 Civic a few years ago. Someone had lowered it and it won’t pass the safety inspection here in Hawaii. I’m searching online for options to raise it back up.
How much did it cost you for the struts?
Hi Ron, You can disasemble your current struts with a spring compressor, get some stock honda springs and raise it back up. Stock springs shouldn’t cost you too much at the wrecker as most ppl want performance ones so stock ones are cheap. If you need you can just grab the whole strut from the wrecker for 50-100 each. Hard to say on the price as most wreckers charge there own prices.
I have a honda civic 1994 model, on i have some 16 inch custom wheels with 205/50/16 tyres, when i have some weight in the back the wheels touches the body, how can i correct that problem, I think I need to raised the suspension somewhat.
any help as to how i do that.

Hi Carl, You might need to change your rear springs to something that will keep your backend a little higher or get coilovers that are basically adjustable springs so you can adjust your ride height to what is good for your Honda Civic. You can purchase Coilovers at most performance stores or eBay. Honda Civic’s are very popular to modify so you shouldn’t have a problem finding any.
