Throttle Body Diameter Size from 1.5L – 1.8L

While doing my engine swap from D15B7 to D16A(D16Z6) I had to swap my throttle bodies around to figure out why my car was running funny and while doing so I noticed that both looked the same size inside. After doing some research on the net today I found that they are both 56mm in diameter so it does not matter which one i use. Below is a picture of my throttle body and also a chart of Honda’s throttle bodies from D15B7 to B18C5.

      i have a question about this. would a throttle body off a 1.8 bolt onto a 1.5 ??

    2. To tell you the truth I am not sure, i have never tried fitting a 1.8 liter throttle body onto the 1.5 intake. Although i have heard that unless your doing some crazy head porting and engine work too large of a throttle body can actually hurt your performance.

      hope that helps.

hey i was thinking of doing the same swap with my honda. What is all involved to making the swap sucessful? thank a lot: Dave

    4. If its in a 1992-1995 Honda civic then all you will need is a D16z6 engine and a P28 ECU
