Well that day has come for my turtle’s to get their new home, the 125 gallon aquarium tank. I bought it brand new from Big Al’s Aquarium store with the stand. I had to build the stand but it wasn’t hard to do as I am a handyman. The tank is 72″ long 23″ high and 18″ wide but looks really good in the space that I have it in. I bought an XP4 filter for it which should do good till I double up and have 2 XP4’s running at the same time.

That’s one mighty big tank! Plenty of room for them to move and grow.
Why 2 filters?
Thank you for the comment. As the turtles get bigger their waste will increase and add a strain to my water quality so to conquer this issue I will install the 2nd filter. I also change the water every 2-4 weeks so my water is always in good order and never has any kind of turtle smell.
Lovely post. Please add my email address to your list and email me the updates if possible. I always like to read your blog and comment on it.

Hey how much did the tank cost you from big als, and how much did the stand cost to make ” your set up looks really nice im jealous:)”
Tank and stand was around $700 bucks. The floating docks, two heaters, lights and 2x Rena XP4 filters was around $650. But It’s a good setup and I never smell any turtle odors in my room works awesome.
