Have you checked your 12Volt car battery under your hood lately? Yeah that’s what I thought…
For most people it’s hard enough to check their Honda Civic’s engine oil, and checking their battery well that’s another story.
My Suggestion Go Check it.
The weather is getting colder and colder with winter right around the corner and the better your Honda Civic’s battery is doing the better for you. Look for corrosion around the terminals, possible cracks on the casing, loose battery terminals, low electrolyte level, and also voltage using a volt meter. Most new car batteries are sealed so there is no need to add distilled water to raise the electrolyte level but if you do have an old battery, do check the level and add distilled water as needed. Once a year I would also suggest taking off your terminals and cleaning both the posts and terminals with a battery post & terminal cleaner tool. This tool is fairly inexpensive and can be purchased at most car parts stores.
