7 Main Categories, What Do You Think?

For the last few weeks I’ve been pondering the idea of focusing on 7 main categories or pillars on my blog, the reason for this is to stay consistent and keep my readers coming back.

The 7 Main Categories would be:

  1. Movies
  2. Aquariums
  3. Warhammer 40K
  4. Technology
  5. Electronics
  6. Remote Control Cars
  7. Automotive

The other idea I have is to have a certain day associated to each category, this way you know that Monday is my Movie day or that Wednesday is my Warhammer day. This will keep my content more consistent and keep my readers happy.

This would also mean that at least once a week or 4 times a month each category will be blogged about.

The Category for each day of the week would be as follows:

  • Movie Monday
  • Aquarium Tuesday
  • Warhammer Wednesday
  • Technology Thursday
  • Electronics Friday
  • RC Saturday
  • Automotive Sunday

I am going to think this over this weekend and if all goes well I will start this new structure for my blog on Monday April 3rd.  So stay tuned and Signup to my email list on the right.  If you have any comments, feel free to leave them by clicking on the blog post.

Rest in Peace Echo Godin

Echo Godin a Sharpe Mastiff mix was a great dog, a companion, a mother and an awesome buddy. She was born on May 11, 1999 and past on to heaven tonight on March 28, 2011.

In the past year I have gotten really close to her as she reminded me of my old pal Rocky who passed away around Xmas back in 2008.  Echo and I didn’t really see eye to eye when we first met but once I got to know her and she got to know me we became very close. Even her owner Tracey Godin said that the other day “Boy you too are getting close”.  She had a very kind and warm personality and barked only if she didn’t know who you were.

I am So Sorry Tracey that you lost this great companion who has been your best friend for the past 12 years. She will be missed by lots of people and her daughter Angel.  Farewell great friend we will miss you.

The 1972 Honda Z600 is a Big Part of Honda History

I was looking on the Honda Tuning Magazine website recently and spotted this awesome article about a 1972 Honda Z600. The Z600 is a big part of Honda history as it was one of the earlier automobiles that Honda made during the big gas crises in the 70′s.  Soon after the Honda Civic took form in 1973 and has been going and going ever since.

Terk Directional Indoor Amplified HDTV Antenna Review

Over the last few weeks I had a chance to try out the Terk Directional Indoor Amplified HDTV Antenna and for my location in the lower mainland of Vancouver it was a bit bleak. I managed to get 2 digital channels but only 480i resolution and 4 analog channels but those were very snowy.

My brother on the other hand who is about 15km away and over a hill, received 4 digital HD 1080i channels and 4 analog ones with the same antenna. I guess his location and better signal strength made the difference. This antenna also came with an inline powered signal booster that really made the difference so make sure you use this if you buy this product. Esthetically the antenna is clean and pleasant looking so it doesn’t cause an eye soar on a shelf.

So overall its a decent antenna as long as your in a good reception area; this would normally depend on how far you are from the local TV Station Antenna and if you have a lot of interference from power lines.

Features:

Directional UHF element reduces signal interference

Optimized for HDTV reception

UHF and VHF elements for reception of all available broadcasts (Channels 2- 69)

Specifications:

Dimension – Base 13″ W x 9.125″ H x 16″ L

Opating Bandwidth: VHF channel 2-13, UHF Channels 14-69

Output Impedance: 75ohms

Requirements: An HD TV with a built-in tuner or set-top HD receiver.

Battle: Los Angeles, Limitless and Adjustment Bureau Movie Review

I have seen three movies in the last two weeks and here is my review of all of them as they were all worth mentioning.

Battle: Los Angeles:

Battle: Los Angeles was a great movie with lots of action, great special affects and acting was good too. A very similar movie last year called Skyline was all hype but failed half way through were this movie carried itself all the way to the end.

Rating: 9 out of 10

Battle: Los Angeles Trailer

Limitless:

Limitless was very original and well written and Bradley Cooper did a great job with the leading roll. Robert Deniro was also in this movie but for me it seemed like a very short roll although well played.

Rating: 8 out of 10

Limitless Trailer

Adjustment Bureau:

Adjustment Bureau was really interesting and was kind of like the Matrix, where it played with your mind about other realities so if your not ready for it, it kind of scares you. But overall the acting was great and I enjoyed it as i didn’t want to see another Bourne Identity remake. Emilia Blunt was gorgeous in this movie and a very talented actress.

Rating:  7.5 out of 10
