Two days ago I finally reached my breaking point and I’m now ready to put energy into working out and eating better to get myself into a more healthier state. I’ve been gaining weight in the past few years I made jokes about it but you can only hide behind these so long.
As of today’s date I am at 229lbs and my gut is way too big and to add to it I was recently told by an old friend I got FAT! I understand this is not a nice thing to say but hey sometimes you need the truth.
Before I go on any further I want to stress this right now that I am a total NOOB in the way of nutrition, healthy food preparation and even working out. So if you read something in my future posts about these subjects feel free to comment as I am sure i will be mistaken more then once.
So as of Yesterdays date I am doing a number of personal challenges for working out and eating better.
I did my first workout challenge yesterday this was just to start something, some sort of exercise more then just sitting on a couch and clicking the remote. So this I achieved I did a 15minute workout with some exercises I seen on Bodyrock.tv.
I did these the best I could but lets just say that even doing these workout routines my knees, ankles and other joints were cracking and squeaking like an 80 year old. LOL
All I can say is I feel really sad for myself but at the same time I am happy because I am taking the first step into getting healthy and fit and that is to START DOING SOMETHING. I can perfect my techniques down the road but just doing something consistently is the key.
For my workout challenges here is my order
Challenge 1 : Start a workout
Challenge 2: Work out 5 days in a row
Challenge 3: Work out for 2 weeks
Challenge 4: Work out for 1 month
Challenge 5: Go for a 5km walk
I will also do some personal food challenges but I have to figure out how to approach these first so I’ll post about these later. So stay tuned for more posts that will either make you laugh or get you inspired to take action to move toward a more healthier state like I am doing myself.
