Have you checked your 12Volt car battery under your hood lately? Yeah that’s what I thought… For most people it’s hard enough to check their Honda Civic’s engine oil, and checking their battery well that’s another story. My Suggestion Go Check it. The weather is getting colder and colder with winter right around the corner [...]

Air Fuel Ratio (AFR) is the ratio of air to fuel in the combustion chamber during the power stroke. This ratio is very important to know when adding on any type of forced induction, whether it be a super charger or a turbo. After installing a turbo on your Honda Civic it would be a [...]

I was checking over my beater Honda Civic today and noticed that the radio was not working. After taking a closer look I found out that the wiring was all messed up. I pulled the deck out of the dash and fixed the wiring by soldering all the connections instead of using crimp connectors. I find it that soldering two wires together gives you a better [...]

I bought an extra center gauge cluster cover from the wrecker last week and today I really got into doing my custom gauge pod. I used a soldering iron and cut out the center vents to make room for four 2″ gauge pods. I cut 2″ ABS piping to about 1 -1/2″ length to accommodate my [...]

Adding on performance mods on your engine will only go so far without a proper Air/Fuel gauge, otherwise you could risk running your engine too lean and blow it up. The most popular one on the market now is the AEM Wideband UEGO Controller and sells on eBay for around $200-$300. There is also the Inovative Motorspotrs LC-1 [...]

After friday night’s Mission Raceway drag racing event, I put a 360 spin on my idea of doing the bodywork first and instead will invest the time into a turbo setup. Before I actually go through with it, I will do some research and post what I come up with. My Goal is around 200HP with my stock D16 engine. [...]

I was looking thru some posts at D-Series.org and found a great writeup on the installation of OEM style fog lights. You can purchase these on the ebay for around $60 and they make your bumper look a little bit better if your not going to go with a body kit. I found a place [...]

My friend’s car broke down this morning and her engine light came on but being a newer car she needs an ODB2 reader to find out what’s wrong with it. This got me thinking about the possible ODB1 engine error codes that the engine light in a Civic would show if you had a problem. So I made [...]

Yesterday I finally got around to swapping out my water filled non working tail light with a spare one I picked up a few months back. I had to remove some clips and a few screws to move the inner molding out of the way to get to the light mounting nuts. I used a 8mm [...]

I passed aircare this morning with really good results and it didn’t take to much work. Yesterday I used up the last of the gas that I had in the tank and filled up with Mohawk 94 octane with 10% methanol, added some fuel injector cleaner and took it for a good boot at lunchtime. [...]
