WarHammer 40K and WarMachine Display Case Done

I finally picked up my mirror glass today from a local glass supply store and installed it into my IKEA display case. In case your wondering about the the size of the back piece of glass, its 62″ by 15.25″ by 5mm thick. The cost was only $52 bucks with tax so that’s pretty decent for a custom cut piece of mirror.

Now with the mirror in the background I will be able to see the front as well as the back of all my miniatures. Making them visible for display will give me more incentive to paint a lot more and whenever company comes over they get to see my miniatures.

My New WarHammer 40K Display Case is Almost Done

This year for Xmas I bought myself the IKEA Detolf glass door display case. I started setting it up and noticed one thing; how do I arrange my miniatures so I can see them from all angles? Well the truth is its not so easy as I will never see the back of them if the shelf is against the wall. Well sure enough a great idea popped into my head to put a mirror on the back side so I can see the back side reflection of my miniatures.

This was a great idea but to go one step further I am going to actually replace the piece of glass on the back side with a sheet of mirror glass which will make my miniatures even more clear and better to see. Below is a picture of my display case with a mirror on the back side of the glass. Come back soon as I should have it done in the next few days and will post some updated pictures.

Cryx Battlegroup Fully Painted

Last night I finally finished painting my Cryx Battlegroup and today I took some pictures of my work to post it on my blog. It was a work in progress for over 4 months on and off, but I finally got it done.

I am actually proud of myself for making them look as good as they are as I consider myself a beginner painter still. I know I have lots of painting techniques to learn but hey 1 step at a time, and this would be one of my stepping stones.

Enjoy the pictures below and comment below if you like.

Cryx Warjacks Almost Painted

My Cryx Warjacks are almost painted, just need to do some final touches and then the basing.

I got a crazy schedule so after working, friends and the usual busyness I am sometimes too tired to paint my figurines but a few days ago I put some time into them and go them this far. My plan is to get them and my Warcaster done this weekend.

Enjoy more to come soon.

Cryx Slayer Warjack Finally Painted

I finally finished painting my Cryx Slayer Warjack tonight. From start to finish it took about 10 hours or so. This might seem like a lot of time to spend on a piece of plastic but hey its rewarding, fun and relaxing.

As you can see below once I glued him together he was just a regular grey color, then I primed him with a black spray on primer and then finally painted on the colors. This is also my first attempt at adding rocks at the bottom of the base so its a decent job I think.

I’ll try to make a quick video of of him when I get a chance.

Cryx Battlegroup Was Chosen Over Cygnar

Last week I went to the games store and was all ready to purchase the Cygnar battlegroup but when I got there my mind was confused as I also liked the Cryx Battlegroup. I pondered it for a bit but finally decided to go with the Cryx  as the Cygnar remind me of the Space Marines and after thinking about it I wanted something totally different to spice up the game play.

The painting of these figurines should be very interesting as they have lots of detail and some are quiet small. I already made an unboxing video just have to put it up on Youtube so that should be very soon. So stay tuned for more WARMACHINE coming soon!

Below is also the front and back of my Cryx Battlegroup box in case you wanted to check it out.
