Battleship was a Great Movie

Last night I went to see Battleship at the theater and this movie was very entertaining. I like action packed movies that make you jump of your seat with high action scenes and blockbuster stunts and this one definitely did its part. In my opinion I would give this movie an 9/10 score.

We also paid extra for DBOX reserved seating but I wasn’t too impressed with that. It’s a bigger seat with firm cushions that shakes, tilts and vibrates during the movie but after about 10 minutes I had to turn my off as I found it more annoying then entertaining. And because the seat was more firm my butt more soar then usual. For any future movies I will opt out of the DBOX seating as its just not worth the extra cost.

Check out the trailer for Battleship below.

Bicycle Day

So today I took another step toward more exercise as I used my brothers bicycle and went for a ride. The ride was approximately 5.2km’s long and it was a great start to doing some cardio on the days that I am not lifting weights.

I was pretty tired when I came back so I’ll do the same route for a few weeks till I get use to it and then I can try different places that are more challenging.

New Weider 8530 Universal Home Gym

After I completed my 30 day workout challenge I lost about 15lbs and felt better but after getting to this point I didn’t really have another hard set goal so I just kept on workout out but soon reached a stand still. I began missing workouts and eating some crappy foods again but soon realized I needed another goal and either more weights or another system to help me get to the next level.

I started looking at heavier dumbbells, resistance bands and other forms of training like home workout routines. I watched the first video of P90 but this system did not resonate properly with me so I quickly dropped it and and was on the lookout for something else. My brother Paul and I were potentially looking at joining a gym but after thinking about it with the cost of gym membership, gas and the hassle of going to the gym I quickly gave up on that idea and knew it would have to be something I can do at home anytime I wanted.

The next day I picked up some pushup bars from a local store to help me with my wrists while doing pushups but after trying those out an idea dawned on me. Why not get a bench for bench press and use that to build my muscles so I started looking and asking people. Well 24 hours later I manifested this Weider Universal Gym and now I’m ready to hit the next level.

My next goal is to drop down to 200lbs and then start working to reduce by body Fat% below 15%

Check out the picture and video of my Weider 8530 universal home gym below.

Another Week But Poor Results

This past week my weight jumped to 223lbs which is 1 lbs more then last Monday but I did go out a few times last week and ate some not so good food, and I only did a half day Isagenix Cleanse on Sunday. The other half of the day I broke down and started eating and took down way to many calories. Last week brought less then expected results but it was a great week to learn some lessens on how to maintain my focus on my workout challenge and eat better.

Today is a great day to reboot and keep going, there is not point to over think the past but to push forward into the future.

Workout Challenge Day 19

It’s workout day 19 today and after instating the Isagenix Cleanse and keeping the workouts going I lost 7lbs in the last week and gained muscle. It’s not easy keeping consistent on my work outs every week but I’m working really hard to keep my program in line. 6 Days of working out and 1 day of rest is going great and I only have 9 days left in the 30 day challenge. After that I might be doing something else as a workout routine but not sure yet but I am looking at different options.

Today I also added some more weights on my workout and also moved from knee pushups to regular pushups which I did 25 total in 1 minute. when I started the workout challenge 3 weeks ago I couldn’t even do 1 pushup so this is definitely a difference.

My main goal in the beginning was to get active and work in my joints and muscles slowly to make sure I didn’t hurt or pull anything. Buy now just 3 weeks of workout out I can already tell the difference and feel much better.

2012 Workout Challenge

My 2012 Workout Challenge is on it’s way and below are some before pictures so I can compare the results in the future weeks and months. This was a big stretch for me to post up some pictures but the heck with it! I’m going all the WAY!

My current BMI is over 31 which is categorized as obese and holly crap that’s BAD! That’s beyond being fat its OBESE! So it was definitely time to change the way I look at my health and nutrition.

Today was also my 13th day of me working out and my results are getting better but need to do more stretching as still get some aches and pains in my joints. Nothing to crazy but that’s what happens when your not active for years, that is why I started up really slow to work my muscles and joints in.

My starting weight is 229lbs

I also purchased a cleanse and nutrition program called Isagenix which will help me boost up my results by loosing that excess fat and help build some muscle. Soon as I get a chance I will write up a review on the Isagenix program and let you know what I think of it.

Day 7 Working out Went Great

Today is the 2nd week of working out and I can see the improvement already. On Sunday I decided to take a day off and let my body recuperate from working out all week. This will work out great for the future because it will give me one empty day in case I miss a workout during the week where I can catch up.

Looking at my results of what I accomplished today in my workout I can see that having that one day to rebuild my muscles and regain my strength made a difference. I’ll post up my stats and my workout routine tomorrow.
